St Albans Table Tennis Club play at Park Street Village Hall off Park Street, St Albans. There is limited parking space at the Hall but space can be found in car park 50 yards along Watling Street or street parking in Park Street Lane.

St Albans Table Tennis Club is one of the oldest established clubs in the country.

The club was formed at a first general meeting held in Cornwell’s room on 30th January 1923. Its first headquarters were at Alma Road Infants School, subs were 5 shillings (25 pence) and there were 44 members.

It has had various homes in the city before moving to a hut on Hollywell Hill in 1964 where it stayed for over 45 years. The club has now relocated to Park Street Village Hall due to the redevelpoment of Westminster Lodge.

The club’s membership has included many international and county players during these years.

The present club has a membership of about 40 players and runs 9 teams in the SHAW league.

At the end of the season we hold our annual tournament which is very popular and many prizes are won. There are also various social activities held during the year, including a pre season meal, evening at the Dogs, Golf Day & end of season Indian meal.

The annual fees are £70 per season (£65 if paid by June), which includes all league registrations etc:
