Digswell Tennis Club, Hertford Road (playing fields near viaduct): see map

From the A1(M) Junction 6, follow the signs to Welwyn (A1000) and then go straight on at this roundabout. Continue straight ahead until you see the viaduct — pass under it and take the first right almost immediately afterwards. The club is the pavilion on your left, with a car park in front of it.

News

The final positions are not quite available but the 5 Digswell teams on the whole have had a good season. Digswell 1st team under Jim Bassett will finish 2nd in the first division after a poor start. All season they have managed to compete with just 3 players with us lesser mortals playing up to help out. John Hirons has been the top man closely followed by Glen Bassett. So its back to the Premier for them next season.

The A team unfortunely have finished ninth in the 1st division and will go down to the 2nd. But a big thanks to Dave Kester for keeping the team going.

Digswell B under Bob Gibson will finish 3rd or 4th in the 2nd division after a very promising season. Bob himself proved to be the mainstay and was well supported by Dave Cox & Sam Morgan.

Digswell C will finish second and be promoted to the 1st Division. The whole team played well throughout the season and deserve their promotion.

Digswell D will finish 5th or 6th in the 3rd Division, and did well as they lost members at various times & Chris Davies was always struggling for a team.
